RU 10th convocation likely in March

Rajshahi University student die,

The authorities of Rajshahi University will re-open the online registration process on January 23 for its 10th convocation.

The registration process will continue till January 31, RU Vice Chancellor Prof Abdus Sobhan said today.

The convocation might take place in March this year, if the chancellor approves, the VC told our RU correspondent adding that they have already submitted a letter to the education ministry in this regard.

He also said that they have almost completed the arrangements to hold the programme.

The registration fee is TK 3,570. Detail information will be found on RU official website, he said.

The VC further said the registration process was first opened more than a year ago. There are many graduates who missed the chance to register at that time. “So, we have decided to give them a chance to attend the programme.”

The university authorities first opened the online registration process on November 3 in 2016 with a deadline of November 30 for those who earned their masters, MBBS, BDS, MPhil and PhD degrees between 2011 and 2014 under Rajshahi University. Later, the deadline was extended until December 15, 2016.

Nearly 5000 graduates registered for the programme that time, according to the RU ICT centre. But the authority failed to hold the convocation programme in time.
