2 school students held with ‘chocolate bombs’

Two high school students were detained when one of them was reportedly trying to enter into a National Mourning Day programme with chocolate bombs in Chuadanga today.

The detainees are Asif Iqbal, VIII grader of VJ Government High School, and Monmoy Hossain, VII grader of MA Bari High School, Tozammel Haque, officer-in-charge of Chuadanga Sadar Police Station, told our Kushtia correspondent.

Security officials found nine chocolate bombs searching the school bag of Ashif while he was trying to enter the programe at the district Shilpakala Academy avaoding the check post around 10:00am, the police official said.

Later, gleaning information from Ashif, the law enforcers detained Monmoy from his residence in the district town.

The boys said they collected those to celebrate a football match that was scheduled to be held later in the day at the district stadium, the OC said.
