Shatter corrupts at registrar, sub-registrar offices: Anisul
Law Minister Anisul Huq today directed the authorities concerned to shatter the gangs of corrupt officials at the district registrars’ and sub-registrars’ offices across the country.
The law ministry is prepared to provide all cooperation to uproot corruption from these offices, he said.
The minister said this while addressing as the chief guest at a view exchange meeting organised at the Judicial Administration Training Institute to ensure transparency and people-friendly service at the Directorate of Registration office.
He urged the sub-registrars to discharge their duties with honesty saying that nobody can harass them if they remain honest and above corruption.
The government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wants to establish rule of law in the country, the law minister said, adding that nothing will happen against rule of law as long as Sheikh Hasina is in the office.
Inspector General of Registration Khan Md Abdul Mannan presided over the meeting in which law secretaries Mohammad Shahidul Haque and ASSM Zahirul Haque and joint secretary Bikash Kumar Saha also spoke.
