SSC exam: 7 teachers discharged from duty for ‘giving wrong question papers’
Seven teachers have been discharged from their ongoing SSC examination duties on allegations of distributing wrong question papers among examinees at a centre in Bijoynagar upazila of Brahmanbaria.
All the teachers were on duty at the Nidarabad Union High School centre in the upazila, reports our Brahmanbaria correspondent, quoting Bijoynagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Meher Nigar.
The teachers are -- Abdul Ahad, centre secretary of Nidarabad Union High School, hall supers Gulam Zilani and Abdul Hannan, and invigilators Sajib Sarkar, Ziaur Rahman, Sohel Mia and Monir Hossain.
The Bangla question paper (part one) prepared for the irregular candidates were given to the regular candidates on the first day of the SSC examinations on Monday, the UNO said today.
There were some irregular candidates, who failed the exams in 2018, at the centre but the wrong question paper was given to all the examinees.
“The roll numbers of all the examinees who appeared the exam with the question paper based on the old syllabus were sent to the Cumilla education board," the UNO added.
