The name of Tejgaon College has been dropped from the list of examination centres for Rupali Bank’s cash officers’ recruitment, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.

Bangladesh Bank in its website today published a circular citing 45 names of exam centres excluding Tejgaon College, the daily also reported.

The 100-mark Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) test will start at 10:00am and end at 11:00am on March 6.

Those who will pass this test will qualify for the written examinations.

The central bank took the decision following some allegation brought by the candidates who were attacked during a recruitment test at the exam centre earlier, reports the daily.

Earlier on January 20, some candidates who took part in Agrani Bank’s cash officer recruitment test protested when one of them was caught red-handed for using an electronic device in Tejgaon College exam centre, the Prothom Alo added.

Later the protesting candidates were attacked with iron rods and sticks and injured after the examination at the exam centre.

According to the Prothom Alo, the injured victims earlier alleged that many candidates were detained with electronic devices at the centre. A group of people may be involved with providing the devices to the detainees. So they urged the authorities for not taking any recruitment test there.
