Road crashes kill 6 in Sirajganj, Bogra
Six people were killed and 11 injured in separate road accidents in Sirajganj and Bogra districts today.
In Sirajganj, a Bogra-bound truck collided with another truck coming from opposite direction on Dhaka-Bogra highway at Dadpur bridge point in Raiganj upazila around 7:00am, leaving three dead and 10 injured.
The deceased Sagaor Ali, 30, Minhaz Uddin, 22, and Sohel Hossain, 25, hailing from Bogra’s Sariakandi upazila, our Pabna correspondent reports quoting Abdul Kader Zilani, officer-in-charge (OC) of Hatikumrul Highway Police Station.
On information, police and fire fighters recovered the bodies.
Vehicular movement on Dhaka-Bogra highway remained suspended for several hours following the accident.
In Bogra, three masons were killed and another was injured after a covered van hit them in Cholka area of Sherpur upazila around 9:30am, said Rafiqul Islam, OC of Sherpur Police Station.
The deceased are Mohosin Ali, 55, Sadiq Ali, 60, and Shah Mahmud, 40. All of them are residents of Bhabanipur union of the upazila.
Injured Idris Ali, 40, was admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, Bogra.
