Tk 315 crore budget approved for JS

Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat Commission today approved an estimated Tk 314.91 crore budget for parliament to spend for its development and non-development expenditures for the next fiscal 2017-18.

The approval was given at the 28th meeting of the parliament secretariat commission held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.

Of the total budget, Tk 298.49 crore will be spent for the development sector while Tk 16.42 crore will be used for the non-development sector.

The commission also approved the projected budgets for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 fiscal years and okayed the revised budget of the outgoing fiscal year.

Members of the Commission Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Law Minister Anisul Huq and opposition MP Nurul Islam Milon were present at the meeting. ASM Firoz attended the meeting at the special invitation.
