Trains leave Dhaka on time as Eid rush starts
No hitch on the train communication from Dhaka so far, as Eid holidaymakers start leaving the capital to make vacation on the second day today.
Twenty-five trains have left the Kamlapur Rail Station till 11:15 am, Shitangshu Chakrabarty, station manager of Kamlapur Railway Station told The Daily Star.
Almost all of them were on time, except for Khulna-bound Sundarban Express which was 20 minutes late. Kishoreganj-bound Kishoreganj Express which was 10 minutes late, he said.
Today will be the last working day before the Eid vacation and thousands of people are expected to hit the road after work in the afternoon. The rush is likely to continue for the next two days.
