Rest of Bangladeshi crash victims identified
Three among the 26 Bangladeshi unidentified victims of the ill-fated US-Bangla Airlines plane crash were identified through forensic tests today.
The victims are Nazrul Islam, Molla Alifuzzaman and Pias Roy, a high official of the US-Bangla Airlines said requesting not to be named.
After completing the formalities, the bodies will be flown back to Dhaka on Thursday, the official said.
Yesterday, the bodies of 23 Bangladeshi identified victims were brought from Kathmandu and handed over to their families after a namaz-e-janaza held at the Army Stadium.
The crash of US-Bangla flight BS211 at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu killed 51 people, 26 of them were Bangladeshis.
At least 20 people survived the crash, 10 of them Bangladeshis.
