The body identification process of all the 28 Bangladeshi victims of the US-Bangla plane crash started at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Nepal today.

Relatives will first try to identify the body but if they failed to identify, then DNA tests will be conducted, Raj Kumar Chhetri, general manager of Tribhuvan International Airport, told The Daily Star.

The process started at 11:00am (Nepal Time), the official said.

Bodies that are identified will be brought back to Bangladesh on Tuesday.

Meantime, post-mortem of all the dead has been completed, the official added.

At least 51 people were killed as the US-Bangla Airlines aircraft crashed and burst into flames while landing at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Monday afternoon.

Twenty-eight Bangladeshis, 22 Nepalis, and one Chinese citizen were killed in the deadly crash.
