‘Yaba smuggling in name of music video production’

Rapid Action Battalion today arrested 10 people in Kolatoli area of Cox's Bazar with 1 lakh pieces contraband yaba pills worth Tk 3 million.

The arrestees including Aslam Khan, 32, the leader of the gang, were “smuggling yaba from Cox’s Bazar in the name of shooting for music video”, Major Md Ruhul Amin, company commander of Rab-7’s Cox's Bazar camp, told our local correspondent.

Acting on a tip-off, the Rab members arrested them when they were smuggling the yaba tablets on a microbus which had a banner of Sarker Production House, a Rajshahi based music video production, he said.

They have been smuggling yaba in the name of shooting music videos for long, he added.

Hence, a case will be soon filed against them in this regard, the major said.
