Another police personnel died with Covid-19 infection at Central Police Hospital in Dhaka early today.

The deceased, Dalil Uddin Biswas, 58, was an assistant sub-inspector of Jhenaidah Police Lines.

He was admitted to the hospital on July 25 after he tested Covid-19 positive. Later, he was put on life support as his condition deteriorated, says a press release from Police Headquarters. 

With him, at least 66 members of Bangladesh Police died with Covid-19 infection while discharging their duties across the country.

The body was sent to his village home in Jashore's Kotwali upazila for burial.
