Police hasn’t received specific allegation of ‘unruly behaviour, vandalism’ against Pori Moni
Police did not receive any specific allegation of "unruly behaviour and vandalism" against actress Pori Moni at All Community Club in Dhaka's Gulshan area. Steps will be taken if anyone lodges complaint, police said.
AKM Hafiz Akhtar, additional commissioner (detectives) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, said this while replying to a query at a press conference on the arrest of five muggers at DMP Media centre.
"All Community Club falls under the jurisdiction of Gulshan Division and we discussed it…We will of course take steps, if we receive complaint," he said.
KM Alamgir Iqbal, president of All Community Club, yesterday claimed Pori Moni and two others "shouted at the club, broke glasses and plates at 1:30am on June 7".
Pori Moni, however, said that allegation of "unruly behaviour at the club" was baseless and was being used to divert attention from the attempted rape and murder case.
Pori Moni filed a case with Savar Police Station against six people including Nasir U Mahmud, former president of Uttara Club Limited, over attempted rape and murder at Boat Club.
Detectives have arrested five including two FIR named accused in the case.
Replying to another query, the additional commissioner said, "As the case is under investigation, everything will be probed into, and repeated interrogation will be made."
