Art exhibition featuring 9 female artists underway at Gallery-Q
An exhibition by nine female artists of the initiative, Colours, is currently underway at Gallery-Q, Banani. This is the seventh exhibition of Colours, and the artists have crafted each piece with dedication.
Most of the works of this exhibition are conceptual. Indigenous artists have beautifully depicted the tales of everyday life through their artworks. Some works are crafted as two-dimensional abstracts, while others are realistic. Many artists have expressed their artistic ideas through three-dimensional sculptures.
The Director of Shilpakala Academy Mini Karim and the General Secretary of Gulshan Society Barrister Shukla Sarwat Siraj inaugurated the exhibition. The participanting artists are Farhana Afroz, Farzana Islam, Manideepa Dasgupta, Morzia Begum, Mosammat Shaila Akhter, Mukti Bhowmik, Rebecca Sultana Molly, Rehana Yasmin and Rifat Jahan Kanta.
Watercolour, acrylic, mixed media, sculpture and installation pieces are on display in this event.
The exhibition will continue till tomorrow.
