Friends, former classmates and other acquaintances have started identifying the Holey Artisan Bakery attackers with the help of social media after the SITE Intelligence Group on Saturday published photos of five gunmen who the IS claims killed 22 people including two policemen.

The photos of five IS recruits show that these militants are young -- around 21 to 27 years old. Friends and former classmates have so far identified three of these five IS militants and it seems that they come from well-off families and probably had private education.

One thing is common about these three persons—all of them disappeared a few months back.

The police headquarters last night released the names of five gunmen -- Akash, Bikash, Don, Badhon and Ripon -- with photographs of their corpses. No other details of the assailants or their motives were given.

However, the friends have different names for three of them—identifying them through the social media.

Nibras Islam:

Nibras Islam has been identified as one of the assailants as per the photo posted by SITE. From posts on his Facebook wall, which has now been deactivated, it has been found that Nibras went missing from Uttara on February 3rd. Photos taken from various Facebook pages.
