Editor's Note

Hay Festival Dhaka has now become an important literary event of Bangladesh. We are proud to see that it has come into its own, becoming a distinctive platform that brings together inspiring personalities in the fields of literature, history, journalism, music, and art from across the world. It is our privilege to be an integral part of the Hay Festival for the fourth time as the title sponsor.

The main purpose of Hay is to bring our literature to the world and world literature to us. Literary activities in the country have seen a big rise in recent years and what better platform for veterans as well as new talents from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds to come together and share their ideas and philosophies. We believe that Hay can be an inspiration for our writers to translate our vast wealth of Bengali literature in addition to producing original work in English.

We hope that Hay can help us not only to reflect about the world as it is, but also to imagine what it might be.
