Asif Akbar kicks off the year with two new songs
Popular singer Asif Akbar has kicked off the new year on a high note with the release of two brand-new tracks, "Mon Jane" and "Aay Phire Aay". According to the singer, both songs have been well-received amongst the audiences.
"Aay Phire Aay", released on Tuesday (January 7), showcases Asif in a new light. The music video features him performing with a band setup, blending rock and metal elements. The song was composed by Rajib Mona, with lyrics by Joy Chakraborty. The track is available on Splendid Audio's YouTube channel.
Meanwhile, Asif's another new release, "Mon Jane," came out on January 5 on Dhruba Music Station's YouTube channel. This song was composed and arranged by musician and singer Imran Mahmudul, with lyrics by Snahashis Ghosh. A story-driven music video accompanies the song, directed by Saikat Reza and starring models Sajib, Mahtaram, and Jim.
Speaking about the collaboration, Imran shared, "I grew up listening to Asif bhai's songs. Back then, Asif bhai was the definition of music for us. Whenever I work with him, it feels different. We made this song in a style that Asif bhai's fans will love. I hope it resonates with everyone."
Asif had previously lent his voice to another song composed by Imran titled "Eto Keno Bhalobashi", also written by Snahashis Ghosh.
Discussing his latest releases, Asif shared, "Both songs offer something new for listeners. We released them to mark the start of the English new year. 'Aay Phire Aay' has a band vibe and was composed by Rajib, while 'Mon Jane' was crafted by Imran Mahmudul, with whom I've worked before.
"Imran is one of the most popular singer-composers of this generation, and he brings a professional and realistic approach to his work. The main driving force behind this collaboration was Snahashis, who made this beautiful song happen. I'm confident that both tracks will win the hearts of listeners," the singer added.
