On August 26, 2024, BTS, the internationally acclaimed boy group, set a remarkable record by becoming the first and only group to have 33 songs reach the No. 1 spot on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart. As reported by Forbes, their track "We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal" climbed to the top, overtaking "Polar Night", a solo song by BTS member Suga, which had previously held the position.

According to reports, the record includes solo tracks by BTS members, such as Jimin's "Who," Suga's "Polar Night" and "Haeguem", RM's "Come Back to Me," V's "FRI(END)S," among others. On August 23, Suga's solo track "Polar Night" from his debut solo album "D-DAY" reached No. 1 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart, maintaining the top spot for two days before being overtaken by BTS' "We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal".

Moreover, as of August 26, a total of 23 songs by Suga re-entered the chart, further establishing him as the most consumed artiste globally across all digital platforms.

BTS member Suga has achieved the distinction of being the most consumed Asian artiste globally across all digital platforms. He made history with 23 of his songs re-entering the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart and the European iTunes Song Chart.

According to the World Music Awards, Suga is the first and only Asian solo artiste to have three albums simultaneously ranked in the Top 5 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart. His albums "D-DAY", "AGUST D", and "D-2" secured the No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 spots, respectively, on the chart.

Suga's recent chart success comes after a difficult time, following an incident on the night of August 6. He encountered a setback when he tripped over his electric scooter outside his home in Hannam-dong, Seoul, after returning from a dinner and drinks with friends during a break from his military service. The incident involved a DUI.

Despite the challenging situation, Armys have shown overwhelming support, leading to a renewed surge in both Suga's solo work and BTS' discography. Songs like "Snooze" and "Nevermind" gained significant momentum, trending online and contributing to the remarkable chart success.
