BTS’ V charts 3 songs on Billboard Hot 100
BTS member V recently unveiled a new track, "White Christmas," featuring the iconic Bing Crosby. Shortly after its release, the song secured a position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
This achievement makes V the first K-pop idol to have three songs chart on this prestigious list.
On December 17, 2024, the Billboard Hot 100 rankings were announced, with BTS' V and Bing Crosby's holiday duet landing at No. 93. This marks the third song by the K-pop star to chart in 2024, alongside "FRI(END)S" and "Winter Ahead".
Additionally, it is V's sixth solo entry on the Hot 100, following "Christmas Tree" (No. 79), "Love Me Again" (No. 96), "Slow Dancing" (No. 51), "FRI(END)S" (No. 65), and "Winter Ahead" (No. 99).
"White Christmas" is a reimagined version of the classic holiday song, featuring the vocals of BTS' V (Kim Taehyung) and the late Bing Crosby. The official music video brings an animated Bing Crosby together with V's beloved late pet dog, Yeotan, creating a festive and heartwarming scene.
Recently, V disclosed that Yeotan had passed away, making the video a heartfelt tribute to the singer's cherished companion.
V, also known as Kim Taehyung, debuted as a member of BTS alongside RM, J-Hope, Jimin, Jungkook, Jin, and Suga. In 2023, he launched his solo career with the album "Layover," featuring the title track "Slow Dancing" and its accompanying music video. The album also included pre-release singles "Love Me Again" and "Rainy Days."
V appeared as IU's love interest in the music video for her latest track, "Love Wins All". He also dropped an English digital single titled "FRI(END)S," accompanied by a music video. The song quickly captured fans' attention and has surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify. Additionally, on December 3, 2024, he released a new song titled "Winter Ahead", featuring Park Hyo Shin.
