Despite ICCB's concert ‘ban’, 'The Ultimate Rock Fest 2023' will take place on July 28
Popular rock bands unite to bring music and a green movement to Dhaka as The Ultimate Rock Fest 2023, organised by Oplly, defies obstacles and aims to create a greener city.
While the International Convention Center Bashundhara (ICCB) has recently imposed an indefinite suspension on all concerts, Dhaka's music scene refuses to be silenced.
On July 28, 8 popular bands will electrify the stage of ICCB for The Ultimate Rock Fest 2023.
The lineup includes Aurthohin, Warfaze, Shironamhin, Ashes, Avoid Rafa, Blue Jeans, Apekkhik, AK Rahul and ASEIS.
With the slogan, "Go Green Dhaka City," The Ultimate Rock Fest 2023 has a deeper purpose beyond music.
Opply's Chief Executive Officer, Sabbir Al Mahmud Sani, emphasised their mission to raise awareness among the youth about the harmful effects of climate change.
"Our vision extends to transforming Dhaka into a more livable city by reducing heat and embracing greenery. We believe this initiative will elevate Dhaka's global standing and position Bangladesh as a role model for greener cities, effectively reducing environmental pollution and carbon emissions," he said.
In an innovative approach to promote environmental consciousness, Opply plans to plant saplings equivalent to the number of tickets sold for the concert, creating a lasting impact on the city's landscape.
To secure their spot at The Ultimate Rock Fest 2023, music lovers can purchase tickets online through Get Set Rock.
Early bird ticket sales are available in three categories: Regular tickets priced at 600 taka, Frontliner tickets at 900 taka, and VIP tickets at 1500 taka.
