James goes to court over copyright violation of his music
Rock icon James showed up at Judge KM Imrul Kayesh's court today to file lawsuit against organisations that are using his music without due permissions. However, the court did not take the lawsuit, and instead advised the musician to file a complaint with Gulshan Police Station.
"Many organisations are violating copyright by using James' music -- using many of his songs as caller tunes and welcome tunes, and in advertisements," said Rubaiyat Thakur Robin, James' manager.
"This is why we went to court to file a lawsuit. However, some media outlets have reported that the lawsuit is against a certain telecom company. That is not true, and we will clarify it further later."
