Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, known as the "Nightingale of India," has been placed 84th among the 200 greatest singers of all time by Rolling Stone. The list also includes the late Pakistani singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Additionally, also listed are BTS's youngest member, Jungkook, and singer-songwriter Lee Ji-eun, better known by her stage name IU. Celine Dion, on the other hand, has been left off the list.

In response to Celine's omission from the list, a fan tweeted, "A greatest singers list would be incomplete without Celine Dion. She is one of our generation's greatest vocalists. Should I remind you?"

Lata Mangeshkar was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and the Bharat Ratna for her outstanding contributions to the music industry. She has lent her voice behind actresses like Meena Kumari, Jaya Bachchan, Rakhee, Sharmila Tagore, Sridevi, Kajol, and Madhuri Dixit.

Mangeshkar was also listed in Guinness World Records as the artist who recorded the most songs between 1948 and 1987. Her final song, "Saugandh Mujhe Is Mitti Ki", is an homage to the Indian Army's valor.
