Pakistani singer Mustafa Zahid to perform in Dhaka

Mustafa Zahid, the voice behind "Toh Phir Aao" and "Tera Mera Rishta Purana" from the 2007 Bollywood film "Awarapan", remains a favourite among music enthusiasts in Bangladesh.
He later lent his voice to hit songs in "Aashiqui 2" and "Ek Villain". Now, the celebrated singer is set to perform in Dhaka.
The popular vocalist, also the lead singer of Pakistan's Roxen band, is being brought to Dhaka by Melody and Mind Communication. The concert is scheduled for April 11, though the organisers have yet to announce the venue and ticket details officially.
Mustafa Zahid personally confirmed his participation through a Facebook post, where he also shared a video message for his Bangladeshi fans.
In the video, he said, "Hello, wonderful fans in Bangladesh! I am coming to your beautiful country. I will be in Dhaka on April 11. See you all at the concert!"
Born in Lahore, Pakistan, Mustafa Zahid comes from a musical lineage. He is the nephew of Ali Azmat, the former lead singer of the legendary rock band Junoon, and a relative of the late Sufi singer Inayat Hussain Bhatti. Interestingly, he never aspired to be a singer in his early years. During a college event, while hosting, his teachers encouraged him to sing. Though initially shy, he performed a few lines of "Bhigi Bhigi Raaton Mein", sparking his passion for music and paving the way for his career.
In 2007, two of his songs were featured in "Awarapan", marking his Bollywood debut. Since then, he has recorded over a dozen songs for the Indian film industry.
Currently, Mustafa Zahid is among the top three most-followed Pakistani artists on Spotify, boasting over 5.5 million followers.
