Jennie, a member of Blackpink, has revealed plans to release her debut studio album, "Ruby". She shared the announcement along with a short video across her official social media platforms.

In the 33-second video, Jennie donned a white and black ensemble and chose long, vibrant red hair. As she sang, she conveyed various expressions, with the lyrics being, "In the dark I grew, money can't buy no real friends."

Jennie teamed up with Childish Gambino, Dua Lipa, Doechii, Dominic Fike, FKJ, and Kali Uchis for her album. "Ruby" is set to drop on March 7 this year and will feature 15 tracks spanning various genres. It will also include her released single, "Mantra", from October last year.

According to Korea Joongang Daily, citing her agency Odd Atelier (OA Entertainment), Jennie's upcoming album is expected to showcase her limitless musical abilities. 

Following its release in 2024, her single "Mantra" topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 47 regions globally and also held the number-one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for two consecutive weeks.
