Singer Shireen to release Eid song ‘Bain Duardi’
Singer Shireen Jawad, famous for her hit track "Panjabiwala", is gearing up for the release of a brand-new song on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. Titled "Bain Duardi", this melodious composition—written in the regional dialect of Chattogram—will be unveiled on the 'Gafur Hali' YouTube channel today at 7 pm.
Produced by the Abdul Gafur Hali Research Centre, "Bain Duardi" holds a special significance, as it pays homage to the timeless works of legendary lyricist, Abdul Gafur Hali—based in Chattogram—known for his mystic compositions. Under the skilled music direction of Tanim, the song showcases Shireen's incredible vocal prowess, adding a fresh perspective while honouring the original essence of the piece.
Speaking about the project, Nasir Uddin Haider, Secretary of the Abdul Gafur Hali Research Center, expressed his excitement, saying, "Gafur Hali's immortal song 'Bain Duardi Na Aisho Tui Nishir Kale', previously sung by Shefali Ghosh, gained immense popularity in the seventies. We have now recorded the song in Shireen's melodious voice, featuring a fresh arrangement under the patronage of Mohammad Anwarul Haque, Vice Chairman of the Abdul Ghafoor Hali Research Centre."
Echoing the sentiments, Shireen expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to pay tribute to the legendary works of Abdul Gafur Hali. She shared, "I owe my success to Abdul Gafur Hali's iconic compositions such as 'Panjabiwala' and 'Maner Bagane'. Gafur uncle held a special place in his heart for me."
