Snoop Dogg postpones 30th anniversary concert in support of Hollywood strikes
Popular American rapper Snoop Dogg recently postponed his 30th anniversary into the musical world celebration concert, "Doggystyle 30th Anniversary", again in support of the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. The rapper has announced the news on social media today.
Snoop Dogg captioned his announcement post, stating, "We regret to inform you that due to the ongoing strike and the uncertainty of when this will be over, we need to cancel the Hollywood Bowl show. We continue to stand in solidarity with all of our brothers and sisters in the WGA and SAG/AFTRA during this difficult time and remain hopeful that the AMPTP will come back to the negotiating table with a REAL proposal and we can all get back to work."
Initially, Snoop Dogg's two-night long concert was supposed to be held in June at the Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles. However, in support of the strikes going on since May, the rapper pushed back his celebration concert to October 20-21. Now, the concert has been postponed once more, and this time—indefinitely until further notice.
According to Hollywood Bowl's website, fans who have already bought tickets to the concert will soon be refunded via their original payment methods within next week.
Snoop Dogg rose to fame with his hit album "Doggystyle". The music album marked the beginning of his journey in the musical scene.
