Sonu Nigam gets attacked in concert
Recently, Sonu Nigam was attacked and abused during a selfie scuffle as a politician's son tried to force a selfie with the singer.
The "Kal Ho Na Ho" singer was performing in Chembur yesterday night when a man identified as Swapnil Prakash Phaterpekar attacked him and his team over a selfie. Sonu's guru Ghulam Mustafa Khan's son and close aid Rabbani Khan, as well as his bodyguard, were also injured in the brawl.
Sonu Nigam spoke with the media after the attack and revealed that he had filed a complaint against the attacker.
According to ANI, Sonu stated, "After the concert, I was coming down from the stage when a man called Swapnil Prakash Phaterpekar held me. Then he shoved Hari and Rabbani, who had come to save me. Then I tripped on the stairs. I filed a complaint so that people think twice about forcing selfies and causing a scuffle."
Sonu Nigam was invited to perform on the final night of a four-day musical festival. Aside from the scuffle, videos of Sonu's performances have gone viral on Twitter.
