Sufi to leave Arbovirus, says “everything has an end”
Sufi Maverick, vocalist of popular hard rock band Arbovirus, has decided to quit his position as its frontman.
The news was posted on social media by the musician himself. "I resigned from my band for personal reasons," he wrote. "The shows that we've already confirmed will by my last, and this is not a social media gimmick."
Sufi thanked his fans for supporting him throughout his career. "You pushed a shy guitarist from a small town to where I am right now, where many tried and failed."
The vocalist requested to fans on social media to not ask further questions for now.
Arbovirus, formed in 2001, is one of the most recognised bands in Bangladeshi music, with 4 studio albums and hits like "Omanush", "School", "Roder Kinaray" and "Hariye Jao", among many others.
