Taylor Swift's Eras Tour has been a huge success, but her Seattle your took things to a whole new level when her loyal fans, known as Swifties, triggered a 2.3 magnitude earthquake, rivalling the legendary 'Beastquake' of 2011.

According to the Seattle Times, the remarkable phenomenon occurred over the weekend when the "Antihero" singer performed sold-out back-to-back gigs to a whopping 144,000 spectators at Seattle's Lumen Field.

The adrenaline rush and excitement from the three-and-a-half-hour concert created quite a stir on a seismometer near the stadium.

The findings astounded geology professor Jackie Caplan-Auerbach of Western Washington University, who analysed the data. "This was much larger than the Beast Quake in terms of raw amplitude of shaking, and it lasted much longer," she said.

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network's Mouse Reusch pinpointed the moments when the ground trembled. These Tay Tay-induced tremors were caused by the songs "Blank Space" and "Shake It Off," which were ideal picks for such a seismic event.

For those unfamiliar with Seattle sports history, the Beastquake occurred in 2011 when Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch scored a touchdown, causing seismic activity due to the supporters' frenzied celebration.

Caplan-Auerback analysed data from both nights of Taylor Swift's concerts to compare the two events tectonically. The results were startling: the signal patterns were practically similar, with only a 0.3 difference on the seismometer.

However, the Swifties won in terms of overall scale, as their frenzy lasted for hours, unlike the quick rise during the 2011 Beastquake.

As the Eras Tour nears its conclusion, rumours circulate about a possible $1 billion in sales, which would make it the highest-grossing tour of all time. With such seismic energy surrounding Taylor Swift, there's little doubt she's cemented her place as a music force to be reckoned with.
