BTS Army has trolled Alka Yagnik for not being familiar with the k-pop sensations. Earlier on, the singer beat BTS, Blackpink, and Taylor Swift to set the record for most-streamed artist on YouTube in 2022.

In an interview with Radio Nasha, Alka Yagnik revealed that she got to know about BTS from her daughter Syesha, who informed her about the immensely popular group consisting of Jung Kook, Jimin, V, SUGA, Jin, J-Hope, and RM.

"I asked my daughter 'who is BTS' and she literally laughed out loud on the phone. She said, 'You are just too much, mom'," shared Alka Yagnik. However, her innocent question didn't sit well with BTS Army, who questioned her 'taste' in music.

When Viral Bhayani, a Bollywood paparazzi, published the news on Instagram, many mocked the singer in the comments section.

"So, what's the big deal in this? BTS also doesn't know who Alka Yagnik is," wrote one user. While another person shared, "Sorry mam, but five times Grammy nominated group biggest fan base. Even the former Indian president mentioned them. Where were you then?"

"Alka madam stop trying to garner publicity by using the 'BTS' name. Please go and open YouTube. You will find who they are," wrote another user. "It's ok, not everyone has good taste in music," added another user.
