Due to a typhoon, our heroine Moyuri, played by Moushumi, ends up stranded in a forest. There she meets a rich man, played by Bapparaj, who enjoys hunting for tigers, in the company of his body guards.

Bapparaj, who has never been in a relationship, ends up in love with the unconscious Moyuri, who has lost her memories as a result of suffering from amnesia.  Instead of taking her to the police (like a sane person) he manipulates and convinces her that she is his girlfriend.

Moyuri eventually meets Raju, a boatman played by Omar Sani, and both of them immediately falls in love. They let the audience know this by dancing around a bunch of trees. Moyuri secretly sends love letters to Raju, resulting in the duo falling more madly in love. At one point, Raju proves his passionate love for Moyuri by cutting his finger and writing a letter in blood (because obviously he cannot afford a pencil like an ordinary person).

When Bapparaj starts to catch on about this relationship forming under his nose, he goes into a crazed frenzy, immediately confronting Raju.

This is when Omar Sani gifts the audiences his most epic cinema line till date, "Goribder ki bhalobashar odhiker ney? Bhalobasha ki shudhu apnader boro lokh der jono?"
