Throughout his illustrious five-decade career in films, tele-fictions, and theatre, renowned actor Abul Hayat has left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry, winning the hearts of millions of fans.

He is also a skilled director who has gifted numerous tele-fictions to his audience. Today, we celebrate the star's 80th birthday.

Abul Hayat earned special acclaim for his roles in legendary writer Humayun Ahmed's projects including "Ditiyo Prohor", "Aaj Robibar", "Bohubrihi", "Ei Shob Din Ratri" and "Nokkhothrer Raat", amongst others. His remarkable portrayals still continue to stir emotions in the audience.

Through his on-screen performances, Abul Hayat has become a role model for ideal fathers, teachers, and more.  

In addition to his work in tele-fictions and series, the "Aaj Robibar" star is also actively involved in filmmaking. He has delivered heartwarming and resolute performances in many films, including "Shonkhonil Karagar", "Shopner Thikana","Daruchinir Dwip", and "Joyjatra", amongst others.

He even featured in Humayun Ahmed's debut film, "Aguner Poroshmoni", bringing laughter and tears to the audience. Recently, he appeared in Hridi Haq's Liberation War-based film, "1971 Shei Shob Din".

From "Aguner Poroshmoni" to "Joyjatra" and now "1971 She Shob Din", Abul Hayat's roles related to the Liberation have always charmed the audience.

Abul Hayat began his acting career on the theatre stage of Nagorik Natya Sampradaya and performed there for over a decade. His last stage performance was in "Dewan Gazir Kissa".

On his birthday, noted actor Tariq Anam Khan shared, "Abul Hayat is a powerful and complete artiste. There aren't many actors like him in our field. Be it in behaviour or heart—he is an amazing human being. On birthday, my best wishes are with Hayat bhai."

Meanwhile, Mamunur Rashid said, "An artiste who spent decade after decade enomoured in his craft—just thinking this makes me happy from the depth of my heart. We have known each other for many years now. Abul Hayat's way of living, his responsible persona and his artiste life-hood really inspires us all. My love and prayers are with him on his birthday."

Speaking about Abul Hayat, Dolly Zahur shared, "Hayat bhai is an aritiste through and through. He is an outstanding actor and excellent human being. I always pray for him."

On the occasion of his own birthday, Abul Hayat said, "I have earned love and respect from countless fans which has left my heart gleaming in happiness. I don't have any regrets and am content with the life I have lived."

He continued, "I've always considered myself a happy man. You know, my parents used to tell me to expect less from life and you would get more. That's what I did, and always got more from life. Which is why regret or depression could never get a hold of me."

"By the grace of the Almighty, I am living happily with my family, and on this 80th birthday I can say that I have been showered with love from countless audiences," concluded Abul Hayat.
