Anjan Dutt announces web series and revamped 'Bela Bose' song

Beloved singer Anjan Dutt graced the stage in the capital city at a mesmerising concert, titled "Anjan Dutt in Metropolis", held at Aloki in Tejgaon. The musical show, opened with Ahmed Hasan Sunny, featured renowned artistes Neel Dutt, Amyt Datta, Proshanto, and Deboprotim.

During his performance, Anjan Dutt made an announcement about an upcoming web-series. This unique project will bring together actors from Bangladesh and India under Anjan's direction, weaving a tale of joy, love, and friendship. 

Adding to the excitement, the series will include a revamped version of Anjan's iconic song, 'Bela Bose,' now titled "Bidisha Ami Sorry". Anjan Dutt performed this new rendition live during the concert.

In this new rendition of the song, the lyrics take a different turn. Rather than delivering the good news of a job to Bela, the lover informs Bidisha about resigning from his job and earnestly requests her to listen to her parent's advice.

While Anjan Dutt shared these exciting details, he kept the series title and the names of the actors under wraps. However, he did reveal that the series is scheduled for release on Bangladesh's OTT platform, Binge, in December.

Speaking about the upcoming series, Anjan Dutt expressed, "It is a musical web-series, a story brimming with fun, joy, friendship, and love. At the age of 71, I felt the urge to create a narrative infused with the sweet joy of music that warms the heart. This series will bring together talented artistes from both Bangladesh and India, fulfilling a long-cherished dream of mine."

Commenting on the revamped version of 'Bela Bose', Anjan shared, "People have been enjoying the 'Bela Bose' song for 30-31 years, and it has seen numerous parodies. It's time for this song to be revisited, which is why I created this new rendition."
