Anjan Dutt’s ‘Revolver Rohoshyo’ in theatres today
After almost a three-year-long break, the renowned musician, director, and songwriter Anjan Dutt has returned with another amazing detective film-"Revolver Rohoshyo", released in Indian theatres today. The director's famed detective franchise "Byomkesh Bakshi" had previously charmed the audience to no end—dipping into the crime and mystery-ridden life of the detective.
"Revolver Rohoshyo" is based on the director's own book "Danny Detective". Speaking to the media, Anjan said that "Revolver Rohoshyo" is a bit different from generic detective stories. He professed, it does not portray the usual passionate, tough, and intelligent detective with a neck for solving mysteries. Instead, it shows a lazy ex-cop who is happy to earn enough to keep his life afloat.
The director shared that he grew up enjoying detective novels and has much experience in turning detective stories into films. Just like "Byomkesh Bakshi", Anjan Dutt plans to make three to four more films on "Danny Detective".
He is now focusing on making his upcoming film, "Chalchitro 80", paying tribute to the late legendary director Mrinal Sen on his 100th birth anniversary.
"Revolver Rohoshyo" casts Suprobhat Das, Anjan Dutt, Sujan Mukherjee, and Chandan Sen in the lead roles.
