'Antarjal 2' will come: Zunaid Ahmed Palak

Director Dipankar Dipon has breathed life into intriguing characters like Lumin - the young programmer, Nishat - the cybersecurity expert, and Priyom - the robotics engineer, through the cybercrime thriller film "Antarjal". The highly anticipated movie was released on Friday in a total of 184 theatres, both in Bangladesh and abroad.

The special screening of it took place at Star Cineplex in Bashundhara City on Friday evening. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Zunaid Ahmed Palak, attended the premiere alongside the film's talented cast.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the film, Zunaid Ahmed Palak revealed that he had already watched "Antarjal" a staggering seven times. He praised the movie as a groundbreaking addition to the country's cinema landscape, designed to resonate with the younger generation. The State Minister lauded the collaboration of talented young artists and director Dipankar Dipon for their remarkable work.

Highlighting the film's relevance in the digital age, Zunaid Ahmed Palak emphasised, "Today, our lives, from employment to entertainment, revolve around the internet. 'Antarjal' sheds light on the inherent risks of the online world while showcasing the thrilling field of cybersecurity. The movie will serve as a source of inspiration for our youth to engage in the cybersecurity sector and contribute to Bangladesh's prowess in the cyber war."

In response to queries about the potential sequel, titled "Antarjal 2", the State Minister hinted, "We are talking with Dipon about this. 'Antarjal 2' will come."

"Antarjal" boasts a star-studded ensemble, including Siam Ahmed, Bidya Sinha Mim, Sunerah Binte Kamal, ABM Sumon, Mashroor Inan, and Amit Sinha, amongst others.
