'Antarjal' clears censor hurdle, set to premiere in September
Initially planned for release during Eid ul Azha, Siam Ahmed and Bidya Sinha Mim starrer film, "Antarjal", faced delays due to technical issues, and delayed censor certification. This led to the announcement shortly before the holy occasion that the cyber-thriller would not hit theatres during Eid.
Now, "Antarjal" has secured the censor certificate from the Bangladesh Censor Board, confirming its release date on September 8.
In this film, Siam has donned the role of a freelance programmer, Lumin, while Mim and ABM Sumon take on the role of cyber security officers. Sunerah Binte Kamal portrays a robot engineer.
Siam Ahmed commented on the upcoming project, stating, "Every day, we face the risk of cyber-attacks, ranging from individual to state-level threats. The film aims to educate and empower viewers to protect themselves from such attacks. I am confident the audience will find it thrilling."
Mim dedicated 10 days to immerse herself in her role as a cyber-security officer, while Sunerah spent time in a real robotics lab to understand robotics, Siam explored Rajshahi to capture the essence of his character, and ABM Sumon portrayed a security officer in plain clothes.
