Aparna Sen wins Lifetime Achievement award
Every year, Filmfare honors the most deserving performers in Bengali cinema, and this year was no exception, with a plethora of new content.
This year, eminent filmmaker Aparna Sen received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her invaluable contributions to the cinema industry.
Aparna Sen's previous directorial film was 'The Rapist' released in 2021. The film got much adulation from the audience abroad.
Some popular works of Aparna Sen include "Sonata", "Arshinagar", "Saari Raat", "The Japanese Wife", "Yugant", and "Sati".
On the other hand, Mithun Chakraborty and Swastika Mukherjee bagged the Best Actor Awards in the male and female categories respectively.
The best film award was given to the films, "Ballabhpurer Roopkotha" and "Dostojee".
Hosted by Ankush Hazra, Anirban Bhattacharya, and Srabanti Chatterjee, the awards ceremony featured captivating performances by popular Tollywood actors Nusrat Jahan, Monami Ghosh, Sanjana Banerjee, and Darsana Banik.
