Dhallywood actress Apu Biswas is in India right now to attend the 46th International Kolkata Book Fair. The actress was received by Sudhanshu Sekhar Dey, editor Tridiv Tridib Chatterjee, officials of the Book Sellers and Publishers Guild and the organizer of the book fair, yesterday.

Apu first visited the Bangladesh pavilion of the book fair, which was modeled after the Banga Bhaban. She was wearing a customized shari with Bengali alphabets printed on it. 

During her visit, she mingled with her fans and followers in Kolkata and talked to media personalities. 

 

The actress highlighted the contribution of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in making her film "Laal Saree" and said, 'I was able to make this movie because of many initiatives taken by the Prime Minister of Bangladesh in the field of literary culture."

"Laal Shari" is the first production venture of Apu Biswas. 

In the film, Apu Biswas will be donning the role of an influential rich weaver's daughter. Born and raised in the village, she takes interest in her father's craft.

According to Apu Biswas, the film is expected to hit the theatres on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.
