Arafat Mohsin’s ‘Everything Is Nothing’ to compete at 10th Goa Short Film Festival
Bangladeshi musician turned director Arafat Mohsin Nidhi's short-film "Everything Is Nothing" has recently been selected to appear at the 10th Goa Short Film Festival, slated to be held in the current month.
The short-film is expected to be screened at the festival this October 31.
Surprisingly, "Everything Is Nothing" is a budget film, with nearly no dialogue. The production features Mahmuda Begum, mother of the director.
Speaking about the project, Arafat Mohsin Nidhi shared that there's only two or three dialogues in the short-film and the entire story revolves around his mother's character.
The shooting for "Everything Is Nothing" had been completed in May. Afterwards, Arafat applied to participate in the 10th Goa Short Film Festival back in July. However, he had never expected the film to actually get selected.
"This is my first short film, to see it being selected for such a prestigious film festival fills my heart with joy. I am elated because this project features my mother–the entire story revolves around her."
"Everything Is Nothing" was produced under the helm of Merge Creative, and produced by Arafat Kirty. The short film's direction, story, music and cinematography were handled by Arafat Mohsin himself.
