Aruna Biswas delays release of her film 'Oshombhob'
Veteran actress Aruna Biswas has been acting for over three decades now. She primarily gained popularity on the silver screen. Over the years, not only has she been seen in television dramas, but she has also ventured into directing dramas. This time around, the actress has directed a film for the first time.
Her directorial for the silver screen, "Oshombhob", was supposed to be released on October 20. However, due to the release of the biopic "Mujib: The Making of a Nation", the release of the film got delayed.
In an interview with the media, Aruna Biswas said, "We recently had the release of 'Mujib: The Making of a Nation', a film based on Bangabandhu's biography. It is our collective responsibility to support this significant project. Additionally, I am eager to present 'Oshombhob' to audiences nationwide in the maximum number of halls. In light of these factors, I have decided to postpone the release date, and we will soon announce the new date."
Earlier, Aruna Biswas explained the challenges faced during the film's production to the media. She highlighted that the government grant for the movie's production needed to be increased, leading to an exceeded budget. Nevertheless, she expressed her commitment to delivering the film to the audience.
The actress herself has also acted in this government-funded "Oshombhob", amongst other actors like Abul Hayat, Jyotsna Biswas, Shatabdi Wadud, Shahed Sharif Khan, Swagata, Sohana Saba, and so on.
