‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Better Call Saul’ star Mark Margolis dies at 83
"Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul" actor Mark Margolis breathed his last yesterday at Sinai Hospital in New York City. The 83-year-old artiste was known for playing Hector Salamanca, the meth cartel don nicknamed Tio, associated with the Mexican drug cartel boss Don Eladio Vuente and Don Juan Bolsa.
The actor was suffering from a short illness leading to his demise. The news was announced by Margolis's son, Morgan Margolis.
Mark Margolis pursued his acting career from the tender age of 14. He had acted in a plethora of television series and films including, "Noah," "Black Swan," "The Wrestler" and "Pi" among many others.
Upon his demise, Mark Margolis's manager conveyed the media, "He was one of a kind. We won't see anyone like him again. He was a treasured client and a lifelong friend. I was lucky to know him."
Meanwhile, a writer and producer of "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul", Thomas Schnauz, shared on social media, "Incredibly sad news. Mark made me laugh every time we were together on set. I was lucky to have his character Tío walk and talk and teach his nephews a lesson in my very first [episode] of 'Breaking Bad.' My love to his family and many, many friends."
