BTS’s Jimin becomes highest-ranking K-Pop soloist on UK charts
BTS' Jimin has created K-pop soloist history by making a mark on UK's official charts with his album "Set Me Free Pt 2." His album debuted on UK officials singles chart at No. 30 with its over the top cinematic music video.
Just a few weeks ago, Jimin's BTS bandmate J-Hope became the first Korean solo artist to debut in the top 40 of the UK Official Singles Chart with his J. Cole collaboration "On the Street," which debuted at No. 37.
Jimin is now the fifth member of BTS to have a solo entry in the UK top 100, following Jin's "The Astronaut" at No. 61, Jungkook's "Stay Alive" (produced by Suga) at No. 89, and RM's "Indigo" at No. 45 on the Official Albums Chart.
BTS has four songs in the top ten of the Official Singles Chart, including "Dynamite," "Life Goes On," "Butter," and "My Universe" with Coldplay. the K-pop band has two No 1 albums on the UK Official Albums Chart, "Map of the Soul: Persona" and "Map of the Soul: 7."
