‘My heart bleeds for the flood victims’: Celebs call out for help for people in Sunamganj

At least four million people have been stranded Sylhet and Sunamganj due to severe floods. Celebrities have penned down their heart wrenching emotions regarding the terrible flood on their social media accounts.

Jaya Ahsan felt shocked and disheartened on seeing the pictures and videos of people stuck in the Sylhet and Sunamganj flood.

"Bangladesh has never seen such a flood where 80 percent of one division of the country was submerged in water. I was shocked seeing the pictures and videos of the terrible flood situation in Sylhet and Sunamganj," the post read.

"They have been cut off from electricity, internet and their communication with other parts of the country. In this situation, I am praying from the bottom of my heart for everyone, and I hope all the people and animals of Sylhet and Sunamganj are safe," she added.

"Along with the administration, we have to make sure that all of us come together and support them fully during such a terrible disaster," the post concluded.

Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan might currently be in the USA, but his heart is bleeding for his countrymen.

"I have learned through the media and my well-wishers about the worsening condition of the Sylhet and Sunamganj flood. Even though, I am staying in the USA right now, my heart bleeds for the flood victims, who are going through such a dire situation. The plight of the flood victims is bothering me terribly. I have already taken the initiative to send financial assistance to help the flood victims," said Shakib Khan.
