Children’s drama ‘Emil o Tar Goyendara’ airing today on Duronto
The 30-episode children's drama serial "Emil o Tar Goyendara" will be airing today at 1 pm and 8.30 pm on Duronto TV. The serial will be airing every day at the same time. The drama is directed by Kaushik Sankar Das.
The series is based on the German book, "Emil and the detectives" by Emil Erich Kästner. The novel was also adapted to create Bangladesh's first children's film, named "Emiler Goyenda Bahini" directed by Badal Rahman in 1980.
"Emiler Goyenda Bahini was a classic in our childhood. When the film was first released, I was eight years old. Since then, I have been wanting to work on this story for a long time. Finally, my dream has been fulfilled. I hope the audience will love it," said Kaushik Sankar Das.
The story revolves around Emil, who discovers that he has won first place in a renowned essay competition. To claim his prize, he travels from Khulna to Dhaka. While on his journey, the 500 taka he had with him gets stolen. To find the thief, he pairs up with Pony, whom he meets in Dhaka. Emil, along with Pony and his friends, goes after the crook and soon finds out that the crime is much bigger than stealing the 500 taka.
The drama series stars Dilara Zaman, Bijori Barkatullah, A K Azad Setu, Priyontee Urbee, and Shatabdi Wadud in various roles.
