Siam, Puja attend houseful shows of 'Shaan' in Narayanganj
Popular film stars Siam Ahmed and Puja Chery's "Shaan" opened in Narayanganj's theatres to much fanfare, with houseful shows.
"After a long time, four films have been released in theatres during Eid. Please watch all these films at your convenience," said Siam.
According to this newspaper's Narayanganj correspondent, Siam, along with Puja, addressed crowds at the ground floor of Ali Ahmed Chunka City Library and Auditorium in Narayanganj, yesterday.
"I request you all to write and share your opinions about the films that you like. Encourage the artistes," added Siam. M Rahim, the director of "Shaan", along with other team members of the film, were also present.
Siam described Narayanganj as the 'home ground' of "Shaan".
"Most scenes of the film were shot in Narayanganj. It is this city's film, we hope you enjoy it," he added.
Siam also encouraged audiences to watch "Golui", featuring Puja, his co-star in "Shaan".
Having two films released during Eid has been an excellent experience for Puja. She encouraged audiences to always watch Bangla films in theatres.
Siam and Puja also cut a cake, and interacted with fans.
According to this newspaper's Narayanganj correspondent, the artistes also went to screenings of "Shaan" at New Metro Cinema Hall in Narayanganj's Khanpur area.
Robi, the executive director of the movie theatre CineScope in Narayanganj told The Daily Star, "Every show of 'Shaan' since Eid has been houseful, and demand for the film has been increasing. It seems like all our hopes surrounding the Eid releases will be fulfilled."
