“Din-The Day” is Ananta Jalil’s chance to prove critics wrong
Made at a cost of BDT 100 crore, Ananta Jalil starrer "Din-The Day" is a long-awaited return for the actor to the industry. This kind of budget is unforeseen in Bangladesh's film industry.
Co-produced by Iran and Bangladesh, the film is produced by Iranian producer and director Morteza Atashzamzam. The film was shot in Bangladesh, Iran, Afghanistan and Turkey.
Regardless of what one might feel about the actor, businessman and philanthropist, there is no doubt that Ananta Jalil is very involved in his projects, working incredibly hard to make it 'perfect' in his taste.
His films, including the likes of "Most Welcome", "Khoj – The Search" and "Nishartho Bhalobasha", have always contained unparalleled entertainment and striking visuals.
The trailer for "Din-The Day" proves that Ananta Jalil, despite all his criticisms, has worked hard on his acting. He will yet again be seen in the role of a police officer from an international organisation the film, taking down terrorist groups.
A little suspension of disbelief, removing all the pre-conceived notions about the image of the actor goes a long way towards enjoying any film, and that goes doubly for "Din-The Day".
Ananta Jalil, along with his wife and co-star Barsha, have left no stone unturned in the promotion of the film.
"Many have talked about the BDT 100 crore budget," said Ananta Jalil to The Daily Star earlier in the morning, "they will know when they see it."
The actor went on to say that the film is both educational and entertaining. "The sound is on par with many films featuring Tom Cruise", he had said.
In the dire times during the devastating floods in the Sylhet-Sunamganj regions, the actor pledged that the money earned from the film will go to the victims.
If any of his hard work, pledges and claims can bring people to the cinema halls, an entire industry will be rejuvenated, meaning that it will bring a smile on the faces of not only hall-owners, but tens of thousands of workers there.
On top of all that, the actor, who takes pride in his direct involvement in action sequences, choreography, location management and script, has a chance to prove his critics wrong.
