‘Like a dream’: Arifin Shuvoo on visiting Cannes
The trailer of the film "Mujib: The Making of a Nation", based on the life of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival. The production is a joint venture between Bangladesh and India.
The trailer of the film will be screened on May 19 at the Marché du Film, the commercial wing of the Cannes Film Festival.
"This is my first time going to the Cannes Film Festival. It's like a dream," shares Arifin Shuvoo who will be seen playing the role of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the biopic. "It's not just a great honour for me, it's an honour for my country."
Arifin Shuvoo is scheduled to leave Dhaka for France on Tuesday with Nusrat Imrose Tisha, who plays the role of Bangabandhu's wife Sheikh Fazilatunnecha, and Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud.
