Vivek Oberoi made his debut into the film industry in the early 2000s with Ram Gopal Varma's "Company"-which quickly became a cult classic, starting Vivek's journey in films of similar adoration. Vivek then went on to star in films like, "Saathiya", "Yuva", "Omkara" and more. However, Vivek got into a very public spat in the industry, resulting in a decline in his work opportunities.

In a recent interview with Mashable Middle East, the actor reflected on his career in the industry saying, "If something bad, like your film's failure, has happened, that's one thing. But the feeling of being so helpless when you know it is going to happen again and again, and that you are going to get maneuvered or manipulated out of work, or crushed and not even get the opportunity to prove yourself, that is very frustrating".

"I personally think there's nothing worse than feeling completely helpless," he continued, "You know something's happening, but you can't do anything about it."

When asked about whether he knew if there was anyone responsible for the aforementioned failures, he mentioned, "Of course I do. It's a small industry, and it's an open secret."  Vivek had a rather uplifting approach to the aftermath, "But you have to deal with it. Those things taught me to be a good person and a good human being, to be humble, nice, and helpful. And not to abuse the position of power I am in. Some people have an arrogance about being nice. They develop that also, there's a righteousness around it. It's a disease, you have to stay away,"

On another note, Vivek was last seen with Suniel Shetty in "Dharavi Bank", he will next be starring in Rohit Shetty's cop drama, along with Sidharth Malhotra and Shilpa Shetty.
