Five Bangladeshi films to screen at 51st Cervantino Int'l Festival in Mexico

Five Bangladeshi films have been selected for screening at the prestigious 51st Cervantino International Festival, the largest cultural event in North America. The festival, renowned for celebrating diverse forms of artistic expression, is scheduled to take place from October 13 to 19 in Guanajuato, Mexico.

The line-up includes Khandaker Suman's "Saatao", Khizir Hayat Khan's "Ora 7 Jon, Fakhrul Arefin Khan's historical "JK 1971", Nazmus Saqib Ahmed's "Priyanka", and Ujjal Kumar's "Mrittunjoyi". Each film offers a unique perspective and promises to amaze the audiences with its creativity and depth.

The Cervantino Festival, a longstanding tradition since 1972, pays tribute to the literary legacy of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, author of the iconic Spanish novel 'Don Quixote'. This grand celebration of art in all its forms has evolved into a global showcase where diverse cultures converge to share their artistic expressions.

"JK 1971" will be screened on October 15, followed by "Ora 7 Jon" on October 16. "Priyanka" will grace the screen on October 17 at noon, followed by Ujjal Kumar's "Mrittunjoyi" on October 18. The festival will conclude with "Saatao" on October 19.
