The season is rife with mangoes, rain and love as noted director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki has helmed 12 fresh love stories, to be made available on Chorki.

A unique event took place at a hotel in the capital today, as filmmakers for these 12 projects 'took oath', and were inducted into the "Ministry of Love". These filmmakers, being playfully referred to as 'ministers', are an amalgamation of some of the country's top established and upcoming directors.

Besides creatively guiding and co-producing the entire project, Mostafa Sarwar Farooki will direct "Something Like an Autobiography" and "Last Defenders of Monogamy". Robiul Alam Robi is directing "Forget me Not", Shihab Shaheen will look to extend his OTT hit-streak with "Kacher Manush Dure Thuiya", and Chorki CEO Redoan Rony himself will direct "Uki".

The undeniable Ashfaque Nipun is coming with a project titled "We Need to Talk", Abu Shahed Emon will direct "Aboni", Raihan Rafi will look to take his good theatre fortune to OTT with "Mohabbat", and Anam Biswas will lend his expert hand to make "Shoulder Man".

The duo of Shankha Dasgupta and Raka Noshin Nower are making "50/50", festival-ace Arifur Rahman looks to helm "Jui", and upcoming director Rezaur Rahman will make "36-24-36".

During the event, Mostafa Sarwar Farooki told the media that the project will be as unconventional as it is ambitious. Redoan Rony informed that the projects will be available throughout different times in 2023 and 2024.

The approach by the famed streaming platform has certainly gotten OTT and cine-enthusiasts interested in the projects, as has the assembly of such high-profile directors.
